1. The service
Caraoke (“the App”) displays time-synced song lyrics on your iPhone and on surfaces iOS makes available to Live Activities (including CarPlay). It is a display companion — it never plays, stores, or distributes music or lyrics as a catalog service.
2. Subscriptions & purchases
- Caraoke is offered as $1.99/month or $9.99/year (each with a 3-day free trial), or a one-time $14.99 lifetime purchase (launch offer, normally $27), billed through your Apple ID.
- All plans unlock the same full feature set.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings.
- Restore previous purchases with “Restore purchases” in the app.
- Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
3. Lyrics content
Lyrics are retrieved from LRCLIB (lrclib.net), a free community lyrics database, and are attributed in the app. Lyric text is copyrighted by its respective rights holders; Caraoke displays it under the community-access model of that service and claims no ownership. If you are a rights holder and believe lyrics displayed through the service infringe your rights, contact support@caraoke.app — cached copies can be purged and sources swapped promptly.
4. Acceptable use & driving safety
Driving safety: never operate your phone to configure Caraoke while driving. Set the app up while parked. Caraoke is designed to be read, and its CarPlay interaction is read-only by design. Do not interact with the phone while the vehicle is in motion.
Use while parked; the app is designed for passengers. You may not resell the service, scrape its sources through it, or attempt to extract lyric databases from the app.
5. No warranty
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Lyric accuracy, availability, and synchronization depend on third-party services outside our control. Software does not equal advice; do not rely on it while operating a vehicle.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding a claim.
7. Governing terms
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where not superseded by this document.
